Riding Assessments and Riding Lessons

After treating or ruling out physical issues, ridden or behavioural problems can occur due to a number of reasons, including:

• Miscommunication between horse and rider.
• Gaps or deficiencies in training leading to the horse not understanding the requests from the rider.
• Rider position.
• Rider ability.
• Rider's lack of balance.
• Poor timing or application of aids by the rider.
• Lack of consistency from the rider.
• Physical issues with the rider (see Rider Sports Massage).
• Leadership issues (see Equine Psychology Lessons and Groundwork Sessions).

As part of our unique, integrated approach, Perfect Ponies is able to offer Riding Assessments and Riding Lessons to help our clients work through these problems or simply to improve their riding skills.

Lessons focus on establishing a secure, independent seat, light clear aids and an understanding of equine psychology and behavioural science.

I am a fully insured, first aid trained and CRB-checked instructor.

Prices

Private tuition is charged at £20 per hour.

As a freelance instructor I teach you on your horse at your yard.

A nominal mileage fee will be applied for locations more than 10 miles from Walmer.
